"Sunset Symphony" with the LPO
The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra will perform at a free outdoor concert on the Mandeville lakefront Saturday (Oct. 11). The Sunset Symphony on the Lake, staged by the city of Mandeville, will begin at 5 p.m. with a performance by the youth orchestra. Raúl will join an all-star cast in the performance of Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire on March 30, 2014 at 3:00pm at the LSU School of Music: Patricia O'Neill (voice), Espen Lilleslatten (vln+vla), Dennis Parker (cello), Michael Gurt (piano), Deborah Chodacki (clarinets) and Rachel Ciraldo (flute). After a fun run of concerts with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (this one, this one and a private function last week), it's time to pack again! This time I will be flying down to Aguascalientes, Mexico, to conduct a concert and give masterclasses at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes.
