MYS Symph. Orch Notes - January 7, 2019
Weeknight rehearsals! - Thursday 1/9, Friday 1/10
Weeknight rehearsals will take place Thursday and Friday at the Multnomah Arts Center from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Please plan to get there 15 minutes before 7, so you have time to find the room, warm up, etc.
On Thursday, we will begin rehearsal with Hooray for Hollywood and continue working our way through the film soundtracks, starting with Sci-Fi.
Please continue practicing the entire program, and make sure to listen to the YouTube playlist with all soundtracks (click here).
Artslandia feature

Genghis Barbie
Brass players, but also everybody: Check out this upcoming concert by Genghis Barbie, courtesy of our friends at Third Angle. Performances are on February 6 and 7. Add it to your calendars and go! There's a student discount available. Genghis Barbie is made up of members of the New York Philharmonic and Seattle Symphony.
PDX Orchestra Academy
Finally, for those of you looking for a fun summer camp, check out PDX Orchestra Academy (August 10 to 14 at PSU). If you register by February 1st you get $50 off total tuition. Also, MYS students are exempt from having to submit an audition.
